Refunds

If your lender pays your USA account in full, any remaining loan funds will be refunded to you within 14 days from when USA received the loan from your lender.  Please note that BankMobile Disbursement will process your actual refund and will contact you by email when your refunds are available.

Your tuition and fee charges should start to be available for you to see on your account about 2 weeks prior to the start of the term (check frequently). Your Academic Calendar will display your payment due date for each term.   If you have a loan coming that won’t pay what you owe the school in full, then subtract the amount of your loan from your total balance, and pay that self-pay portion by the payment due date. If you have loan(s) coming that will pay your balance in full, then you do not have to pay anything yourself.

If you have a USA Scholarship, you will see it awarded to your account after each term's add/drop period. Retaining your scholarship depends on your GPA and whether you are full time or part time for the next term. GPA reports are unavailable to us until close to the start of the next term, which causes the delay in posting the scholarship to your account. If you are sure that you will retain your USA scholarship next term, simply subtract the amount you receive each term from your account balance.

Thank you for paying on time – late accounts can be assessed a 10% late fee. When your account becomes past due, you will be ‘on hold’. If your account is on hold, you are unable to register for the next term. Remember, if you have loans coming that will pay you in full, you won’t be considered past due or receive a hold. If you have a loan coming that will partially pay your account, you are responsible for paying the self-pay portion by the tuition due date or chance receiving a late fee and/or hold.

One more important item for new students – if you haven’t already, you should be receiving soon, by US Mail, enrollment information for BankMobile Disbursement. BankMobile Disbursement processes our student refunds. It will arrive in a bright green envelope. As soon as you get the information, please enroll and let them know how you want to receive any future refunds – you do not have to use their checking account, you can have it direct deposited to your own if that is your preference. Even if you think you will never have a refund coming to you from the school, we ask that you enroll any way! You never know when you may drop a class in the future and by being set up in BankMobile Disbursement, you will get your money quickly and easily.
