How to publish your video on Blackboard
After saving your changes, you will see your courses listed below in the Publish in Gallery tab if you are a student or faculty member. You can choose the course in which you want to share your video.
You will need to publish your video to the course you want to submit a video submission for. This will not be shared with everyone in your class, only your instructors, unless you share it in a discussion board assignment where everyone can see your video.
Publishing grants access to your video only to people in the course(s) you shared it with.
You can close the Upload Media window by clicking on the teal box with an "X," or you may upload another file by scrolling down.
Why should I upload my video to My Media on Blackboard?
If your video file size is too large to upload normally as an attachment or to create content, it will result in an error code. To go around this, you will want to upload your video to My Media, which will convert it into a shareable Kaltura video.
It makes it easier to keep track of your videos in an easy-to-access place on all your devices.
It lets you easily share videos with others on Blackboard to view or collaborate on a group project.
Your video can be longer than 30 minutes and is not limited by the 500 MB limit.
