Refunds - Your Responsibilities

At the beginning of each term, please make plans to cover your expenses for at least the first 3 weeks without reliance on your loans. Loans do not begin disbursing until a week after classes start. USA has two weeks from this point to process your refund and get it to you. If your loan is not received by USA the week after classes start, then your refund will be delayed even further. We sympathize with your need for your funds, but be advised that frequent follow-up inquiries regarding your student refund can result in an increased processing timeframe for staff who are working on refunds for all students. If you have a concern or issue, please choose the best contact method for you personally and allow us the opportunity to respond. We are here to help you, but in high volume times, we may need a full 24-48 hours to respond.

You have the responsibility to make sure your loan applications are complete and in order without relying on Financial Aid to remind you of every step. It is also your responsibility to apply for your loans in plenty of time for Financial Aid to process them and the school to receive them at the beginning of the term. If you apply late, your refund will be received later in the term as well.

You have the responsibility to make sure you are properly set up in BankMobile to receive your refund. Although staff will assist, when we are pulled from working on your refunds to help you with setup with BankMobile, your refunds are delayed.

You have the responsibility to know that whatever refund method you choose has an effect on when you receive your funds.
